Raising Standards in Auto Locksmithing Since 1996

Supporting Professional Auto Locksmiths Since 1996

For 30+ years, the Auto Locksmith Association (ALA) has been dedicated to promoting professionalism, training and collaboration within the automotive locksmith industry. Founded by working locksmiths, the Association exists to support experienced specialists, raise standards and ensure the trade remains equipped for the future.

Why the ALA Was Created

When the Association was founded, automotive locksmiths had no dedicated organisation. Vehicle security was evolving rapidly and specialists needed a network where knowledge could be shared and standards maintained.

Why This Matters

Automotive locksmithing is a specialist trade with no statutory licensing in the UK. By choosing an ALA member, motorists and organisations can be confident they are dealing with experienced professionals committed to training, ethical working practices and high standards.

Trusted and Vetted Professionals

ALA members are carefully vetted through references, background checks and practical assessments, helping ensure customers and organisations receive a professional service from experienced automotive locksmiths.
